What Are You Waiting For
For a long time my excuse for not living my life for God was because I thought that I had to change somethings about me before God would accept me. Needless to say changing me was not possible on my own, I had failed miserably at attempting to do life on my own. It was not until one day during a Sunday morning service I was told through the message that God wants me just the way that I am. I was so relieved because I didn’t have to do anything outside of asking him to come into my life, believing and having faith that I was saved. I often hear so many people with the same excuse that I had as to why they have not accepted God into their lives. Well, I am here to tell you that God is waiting on you to make the first step, that first step is allowing him into your heart and he (God) is standing waiting to do the rest.
If you feel as if you are missing something in your life or are tired of how your life is going, having a relationship with God is the key. God wants a relationship with you. You don’t have to do life alone because God is here waiting for you. He loves you and wants the very best for you.
If you desire to see what your life can be with God, all you have to do is say a prayer of salvation and have faith (complete trust). The Bible tells us that your eternal salvation is secure! “…If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
“Father, I know that I have broken Your laws, and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now, I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You and do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”
Welcome to the family of God! We encourage you now to find a local church where you can be baptized and grow in the knowledge of God through His Word, the Bible.
